Welcome to my summer diary :) I've decided to keep a blog diary of the summer of 2012, and I'm beginning with June. I hope it's not too boring for you, i don't exactly have an exciting life. The weather this past week has been absolutely gorgeous, blue skies and scorching hot temperatures. But this is England, so of course, it didn't last long. Yesterday and today have been grey and typical English weather. Just TYPICAL. Hopefully the rays will be back soon, and hopefully not when i'm still in school, being stuck in a classroom when i could be in my garden sunbathing is the sort of torture that the school love to deal us. It's so not fair. Anyways, enough moaning.
Today me and my mum went to the royal bath and west show, which is basically a country show with loads and loads of stalls, animals and lots more. It's huge. I've been every year since i was only a few weeks old, it's kinda tradition. I loved all the animals, all the little piglets and guinea pigs (i want one!), and i also loved the stalls, which is where i bought some things :) It was absolutely packed, everyone and their mother were there (literally). After looking round the many stalls (there were hundreds), we went to the village green where there was entertainment. Now, being a dancer, i feel like whenever i watch other people dancing, i am constantly evaluating them (it's force of habit, i blame my btec dance course). It's not exactly a bad thing, but being on the btec dance course for a year now, it seems i have somehow become a bit more professional about dance. Whatever i'm babbling on about, the entertainment was very poor. There was some sort of carnival club 'performing' ie, none of them had a clue what they were doing, even though the routine consisted of stepping side to side with a few arm movements. The next act we saw where a dance school. Lets just say, they've not had much training. The choreography was simple, and the routine went on for about 10 minutes, i was so bored by the end. Little groups took turns in dancing, and when the others weren't dancing, they were stood at the back having a chat and fiddling. And when they did all dance, it wasn't together and they did it with minimal effort. All i will say is that you wouldn't see that on a west end stage. And, they weren't even out of breath at the end of it. If my btec dance teacher had given us a 10 minute routine with technicality and all sorts, we'd be passing out by the end of it. No offence if you happen to be one of the dancers performing, and i know it's not exactly strictly come dancing, but i'm just saying how much i have matured about dance, i've had good training and can spot poor dancers from a mile off.
Anyways, smiley faces back on, here is what i got :) Makes me happy all the time hehe
From left to right..Pink sunhat with leopard bow, this was £10 and looks gorgeous on!
White tie up shirt with leopard print, this was £21, but i think i'll get alot of wear out of it
Floral playsuit, this was £12 and is so cute!
Sweets! My mum filled three bags, one for me, one for my brother and one for herself and guess how much it came to? £21! Ridiculous, but sooo yummy
Belts were £1 each which is a bargain, and i really like them.
I also got some small cactus' (or cacti) which were so cute, they had different coloured flowers on them and i now have about 10 cacti on my window sill lol, they were 5 for £12 which i think is quite fairly priced.
So that was my day at the bath and west show, i don't really do anything interesting so i'll probably post these about once a week or every two weeks, i hope they 're not too boring!
x
