Pink Polka Dot NOTD

Hello everyone, welcome to my new blog!

I was a bit stuck for ideas for my first blog post, so i thought I'd try my hand at doing a NOTD, so i chose a simple and sweet nail art design. I wanted to do something christmassy but I'm a bit cack handed with nail art pens, so santa's and christmas trees were a bit out of the question!
So after some research and creative ideas i thought this one would be fairly easy to do, but i made a few mistakes but hey-ho, it was a first attempt. These are the nail polishes i used;

From left to right :
  • Collection 2000 2in1 Base Coat and Ridge filler
  • Barry M Fuchsia
  • Barry M Strawberry ice cream
  • SurePromise Black nail art pen
  • SurePromise White nail art pen

So first i used the base coat on all nails and let them dry. I then applied one coat of each colour, Fuchsia on all but Strawberry ice cream on each ring finger, i thought it looked cute on other people so i thought i'd try it :). I let them dry, then applied a second coat as they are quite sheer colours. After i let the second coat dry, i took the black nail art pen and drew little polka dots on the fuchsia nails, and the white nail art pen for the strawberry ice cream finger. And heres how it looks:

They're a little rough around the edges, but these photo's were taken pre-clean up! I hope you like them and they have given you ideas for new nail art designs, or you want to try them yourselves :)
